I'm here to complain because it just happened, not long after it already happened. Since JRE moved to Spotify, I have experienced glitches, ads in the middle of the eps, and have not listened to a full episode except Yannis Pappas. It's bad enough that I pay for a premium subscription and have to listen to the ads but that the ads restart the podcast and now with increasing likelihood of restarting it is beginning to affect my willingness to listen. Long live Spotify at ruining the JRE listening experience. I am sure I will get the same canned algorithm response, so rinse and repeat. It gets so old listening to the same ads over and over again. There's just no excuse and I've complained before. Joe Rogan is not reading the draft kings ad so it is not added by the content creator. curl -s 'URL to audio init' -o inita.webm. Now do the same for the second init, and put it under video init. Paste this in the URL placeholder in the first command where it says audio init. I'm literally using a Samsung S20, fully updated with a fully updated Spotify app. Right-click on the first init and copy the link address. There's usually around 4 ads within the first 10 minutes and then a couple more buried around an hour or so into it.

On my way to work this morning playback stopped and it wouldn't even show up on screen to resume playback, had to go into the download list to find the podcast again. Eventually it will crash and then you manually find your position in the playback to continue. Spotify will begin selling ads in September through a partnership with PMM, which has a long track record of representing Rogan’s ad inventory. So the counter will stop but the playback keeps going.
It randomly loses its position in the playback. I had to restart in the middle of the podcast a couple times.Īds aside, everything else about the app sucks too. I could live with the ads if they didn't crash the app. So much for playing it from downloads to have it uninterrupted. Every time my wifi would cut out the playback would stop. I was listening to the Elon Musk podcast last night which I had pre-downloaded to save bandwidth at home and because the wifi in my shop is bad.
